Built in 1905 at the heart of East Durham’s original business district, our iconic two-story building has always been a community anchor. Over the century, these walls have lived many lives—housing the historic offices of the Durham Cotton Manufacturing Co., welcoming the Salvation Army, and serving as the home of Garland Woodcraft, whose legacy of local craftsmanship inspires our name today.

Today, this campus is constantly evolving and improving daily. Reimagined as a dynamic gathering space to celebrate Durham's culture, we are proud to be part of a growing neighborhood and community. Whether you’re making pottery at Claymakers, or enjoying legendary flavor from Dame’s Chicken & Waffles, Garland Hall sits at the epicenter of East Durham's exciting new chapter.
